There is a cat in my Matt and Teresa Mystery Series named Muffin, but Muffin is not like Melia in many ways. Melia did inspire me to have a cat in the story. When I sat in my chair one day wondering what else to add to the next chapter, I noticed Melia sleeping next to me. A cat! That's it. Here are some pictures of sweet, shy Melia:
